Pineapple Butterflies

1. Cut the pineapple in half.

2. Cut the top of the pineapple off.

3. Cut the other end of pineapple off

4. Slice a triangular shape into the center of the pineapple.

5. Slice under the sides of the triangular shape.

6. Slice from outside to join under the triangular shape

7. Remove the skin

8. Slice another triangular shape into the base of the pineapple.

9. Slice triangular shapes into either side of the pineapple

10. Check the end of the pineapple to see if you have a butterfly shape. Trim into shape as necessary.

11. Cut the pineapple into slices about 0.5cm thick.

12. The finished carving.
