How To Carve Fruits and Vegetables
- Use fresh vegetables and fruits that are at the stage just before they are ripe.
- If it is going to be eaten wash the fruit or vegetable. Wash your hands, carving tools and chopping board.
- Use a sharp, stainless steel knife which will not discolour the carving.
- Carve as quickly as possible to keep the carving fresh.
- Carve gently so it does not break or bruise.
- Don't carve out more than is necessary.
